* Be a United States citizen
* Hold a high school diploma or GED certificate
* Possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license (or be able to obtain one upon hire) and be a resident of South Carolina by the date of hire.

7. Final Review by the Chief of Police – The Chief makes the final decision regarding selection for a conditional offer.
8. Conditional Job Offer – Candidates who successfully complete all prior steps will receive a conditional job offer.
